Mel Trains The Marines

 

     

 

On August 23. 2008, MELCHOR MENOR was presented by the Infantry Leader Unit Training Company, Major Jared Spurlock-Commander USMC, with an official document as a Specialist Instructor in the combative art of Muay Thai to the Marines. Since January of ‘08, once a month, Mr Menor is brought in as a speaker and to teach and train the graduating class of some of the Nations best Marines at the S.O.I. training facility in Camp Pendleton in the striking arts focusing on the simple but deadly weapons of muay thai.

” I hope that through the training and educating them on how to adapt their new found skills to their environment, they can use this knowledge and have more confidence in knowing that their body is also weapon…..It is an honor for me to be able to share my knowledge to these Marines who protect our country. .” - Melchor Menor
