KING MO VICTORIOUS AT STRIKEFORCE DEC 19,2009
Last weekend, on saturday evening, King Mo(5-0) defeated Mike Whitehead (24-7) with a thunderous right hand. I had the pleasure working his corner that night which only lasted but a few minutes. With me were the rest of the team: Jason Mayhem Miller, Ryan Parsons, and Danny Perez. Mo’s style is unorthodox and will definitely give his opponents a very hard time. He made alot of noise that night in terms of how he can potentialy be the next biggest star in mma and as Scott Coker (Strikeforce promoter) said it, “...feels like he got the #1 draft pick in King Mo!” I spoke to Lucia Rijker and she said that she was glad that Mo won because if he didn’t, she said she was gonna give him one hell-of-a-bitch slap as soon as he got backstage for having a walkout like that with all those women and not winning! Luckily, Mo did win and she was happy for him. If you don’t know who Lucia Rijker is, she is the legendary dutch female muay thai fighter who knocked out all of her opponents left and right and at the hight of her career, fought against a man in a 5 round muay thai fight. Lucia pursued pro boxing afterwards and did several movies. Lucia played opposite of Hillary Swank as the reigning boxing champ in the ‘Million Dollar Baby’ movie. In our conversation, she was ashamed of the boo’s that Mo got during his fight. Lucia said that she can tell that Mo is a ‘sweetheart’ and if people got to really know him, we would support him moreso. I agree Lucia, its just sad that people see him for the cocky and brash person he personifies but if people truely got a chance to meet King Mo, they would see how genuine of a person he is. Mo is down to earth and very humble. I am very grateful that i have the opportunity to work with such a personable individual that is King Mo. I have never met such a more greatfull person who has shown the utmost respect for his peers and others around him.
